The top tier to the cake above. I adore the rose hips - I added them at the last minute because I didn't thing the cake looked complete. I'm so glad I made a middle-of-the-night trip to Wal-Mart. Btw, I haven't seen rose hips there since.

Favorite Kitchen Things - Magnetized Measuring Spoons by Progressive International

Patricia @ ButterYum

To be completely honest, I really prefer to weigh my baking ingredients in grams, but for some ingredients, a good set of measuring spoons is a must.

This is actually my 3rd set of measuring spoons, but thes magnetic stainless steel measuring spoons are my favorite.  They're made by Progressive International and they've quickly become my favorite. It's a 5-piece set (1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, 1/2 Tbsp, and 1 Tbsp). The really neat thing about these spoons is that they're magnetized and stick together during storage (get it... "neat").

As you can see, the spoons are double ended - same size measure at each end, one is round and one is oval. Great for when you want to measure a dry ingredient after you've already measured something wet. And they have a flat base to allow them to sit on the counter without tipping.

My two other sets are a jumbled mess since their little ball-link chains rusted and were thrown away years ago. This magnetized set isn't quite as sturdy as my others, but there isn't anything in the world that would fit in these tiny spoons that would weigh enough to make them bend, and I don't plan on putting them to the ice cream test, so they should be fine.

I just might have to replace the other sets with more of these - I love them!
