Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs

You take plain bread crumbs and transform them with the help of some dried herbs and spices. With this simple recipe, you might not feel the need to keep both seasoned and plain crumbs in the pantry anymore.

Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs

makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (7 ounces) plain dry bread crumbs

  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or dried granulated garlic)

  • 1 teaspoon fine salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Combine well and use right away or store in airtight container for up to a month.
