Kitchen Tip: Pot Clips

Kitchen Tip: Pot Clips

Pot Clips…

Have you noticed those little plastic bumper thingies included with your cast iron enameled cookware purchases?  They're designed to protect the heavy cookware during storage.  Some people throw them away, but they really come in handy to keep the lid from banging against the pot which can cause chipping of the enamel.  So the next time you purchase enameled cast iron cookware, hold on to those pot clips.

Also…

If you happen to throw your pot clips way, don't worry.  I know Le Creuset and Staub will send you more upon request,  I imagine other enameled cast iron manufacturers will do the same.

PS…

And while we’re on the subject of protecting your enamel cast iron cookware, DO take the sticker off your Le Creuset cookware before you use it.
